How to Get Back in Control of My Life step one: Declutter
I have to get back in control so I stop having mini and full on meltdowns. All of you were very helpful during my last one. So, thank you!
I’m going to look at this as a step by step process and my first step, like I said before, is declutter.
I’m surrounded by clutter. Surrounded! I wake up in the morning to a cluttered room. I go to work in a cluttered car. I work at a cluttered desk. I go home and cook dinner in a cluttered kitchen. Then I go to bed in a cluttered room.
It’s too much. I used to be obsessive about how tidy and clean things are (much like Emma in glee. I totally get her and don’t see the problem…) They are just supposed to be that way! It makes things easier.
It makes it easier to think, work, and relax.
And here I go with step one:
- Get everything that does not belong on my desk off of it. Put it in a box, then go through the box. If it’s not on my desk then I can think better (I hope).
- Clean out my car. Wash my car a vacuum it out while I’m at it.
- Re-organize the kitchen.
- Get rid of all the extra clutter in my room.
