2011
Looking back on 2011, I don’t think it’s much to talk about. Not much to talk about that is positive anyway. A quick run down:
- I completed a 5k (yay)
- I was there when my niece came into the world
- My parents got divorced
- I had health issues
- I had surgery
- Work/business issues that I can’t elaborate on
- I attempted to be a runner several times
- I survived turning 28 with only a minor meltdown (oh, yeah…I just saw my 600 miles by my birthday goal…)
- I tried to lose weight and gained 12 pounds
- My brother’s friend had a heart attack
- My brother’s friend screwed us over then left
- I felt like 375 pounds had been lifted off my shoulders when he left (I really wish I could go into more detail into why this was so incredibly awesome, but I can’t)
- I walked a half marathon
- At work, I increased production by 300% this year (why? because I’m awesome)
- I had to put my 10 year old dog to sleep
I hate to write this down because clearly 2011 was a bit of a downer. This was my year and I survived. I really do believe that I am a stronger person now that it’s over.
I’m relieved.
And now I have a do over with the new year. I’m excited to see what I can do now that the stress of 2011 is over. Am I going to make resolutions?
Sure.
- Have fun
- Have more fun
